Midway Swiss Day

Our wonderful friends the Zaugg's spent some time last year with some of our Swiss brothers and sisters in Utah. They sent some pictures for us to enjoy.

Swiss Picnic 2013

Another great year! This time around we met at Ivy Wild Park and it was so much fun, and lots of shade! We had a great turn out as you will see below in the group picture. We reconnected with old friends and made new ones! 

2013 Swiss Picnic

We have another Swiss Picnic quickly approaching. August 4th is the big day and we hope to see everyone there and welcome new faces all the time.

There has been a location change this year and I wanted to give everyone a heads up. This year the picnic will be held at the picnic shelter at Ivy Wild Park. This park is located about a block off of Broadway on Leadville, you can also get there from S Gekeler Ln, turning west onto Ivywild St (this is closer to the shelter). It is a beautiful location with lots of shade, sports fields and a playground area.

We are looking forward to seeing you there, don't forget to bring a potluck item to share and items for the raffle/auction. We will start at the usual time, 12:00pm. Come ready to eat and have fun!!

Swiss Picnic

We had yet another wonderful Swiss Picnic. Lots of food, wonderful people, a nice, relaxing Sunday afternoon. 

We had another fun raffle and sing-a-long. The kids (who have grown up so much by the way) gathered in the shade and socialized and climbed on things and had a wonderful time.

Beautiful Switzerland

Right now some of our very own local Swiss are visiting one of the most beautiful countries, with such rich culture and amazingly delicious food.

My parents are nearing the end of their first of two weeks in Switzerland. They tell me they are having a spectacular time and seeing some amazing sites.

We look forward to hearing stories of their adventures when they return just in time for the next Swiss Picnic.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the picnic on Aug 5th at Cassia park. It will be a wonderful time to remember our heritage and gather with family and friends to celebrate a common love.

Swiss Picnic

We had another wonderful year at the picnic. Our group this year was a little smaller, but as always it was so wonderful to see new faces and many of our old friends.

The food was delicious as usual and we had a wonderful auction, raffle and the start of a new annual activity, we had a Sing-A-Long! It was so much fun and Ivana played the alp horn for us at the end.

We hope to see everyone again next year, same time, same place. If anything changes we will post it here!
